Jump to RecipeIโm excited to share my easy and got-to recipe for spruced up green beans! These Crispy Green Beans, Caramelized Onions and Mushrooms in a soy-garlic sauce will have you question any doubt you ever had about green beans and mushrooms!
Let's go over the recipe, it only take a few minutes to whip this baby up!
Prepare fresh green beans by cleaning and trimming the ends. In a large skillet on medium/high heat, place cooking oil in pan and add garlic, sautรฉ until fragrant.
Add onion, salt and pepper and sautรฉ until translucent adding small amounts of water (to release charred bits) until completely cooked down.
Add mushrooms and cook until they release moisture and are cooked through. Add green beans and sautรฉ for 5-7 minutes until well coated and combined with ingredients and slightly charred on the outside (should be crunchy).
Finish by topping with soy sauce and toss until coated and add additional salt and pepper if needed. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 tb Cooking Oil
- ยฝ lb Fresh Green Beans
- ยฝ Red Onion medium sized
- 1 tb Garlic
- ยฝ cup Shiitake Mushrooms
- ยฝ cup Baby Bella Mushrooms
- 2 tb Soy Sauce
- Salt + Pepper to taste
