    Fresh Peach Salsa Recipe

Cool off with this summer friendly salsa with fresh Georgia Peaches, red onion, peppers, honey, and lime juice. Pair with tortilla chips, crunchy bread, grilled chicken or salmon and prepare your tastebuds for a flavor explosion! This Fresh Peach Salsa Recipe is the ultimate summer inspired fresh salsa!

    WHAT IS PEACH SALSA?

To explain, this peach salsa recipe is similar to most fruit salsas that pairs well with savory proteins! Traditionally, the fruit salsas are prepared ahead of time, paired with grilled chicken, salmon and other lean proteins to add a burst of sweet flavor.

This recipe rings true to those same flavors, I prefer to add plump grilled shrimp that makes this salsa a bit more filling (and downright delicious).

As mentioned, there's versatility with this recipe, not only can it be used simply as a dip, if you are in the mood for summer grilling, absolutely make this peach salsa recipe, it's ready in under 15 minutes from start to prep. I

WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED TO MAKE PEACH SALSA ?

This will be on the simplest recipes you'll make! Ready in under fifteen minutes with little prep, you'll have this tasty topping on the table and ready to serve to your hungry guests. Here's what you will need:

    1. Fresh Peaches. You will need to grab peaches that are not extremely soft but somewhat firm to touch.
    2. Red Onion. Red onion pairs so well with fresh salsas (and guacamole). Don't skip this step.
    3. Red Pepper. There is a bit of sweetness and bitterness that Paris perfectly with the ingredients in this peach salsa recipe.
    4. Cilantro. You can't have salsa without cilantro, right?
    5. Honey.
    6. Fresh Lime Juice. Fresh is best. You'll need one small lime.
    7. Salt and Pepper (to taste)

HERE'S HOW TO MAKE FRESH PEACH SALSA

    1. Prep the ingredients.

Begin by small dicing and chopping the peaches, red onion, cilantro and red pepper. Generally speaking, you are halfway done with this recipe!

    2. Add ingredients to the bowl.

Next, grab a medium to large sized bowl and begin by adding the chopped peaches to the bowl. NOW, add the red pepper and red onion. Quickly add the cilantro and pour in the honey. According to your taste, season liberally with salt and pepper until desired taste is reached. Lastly, squeeze lime juice over ingredients, stir one last time and adjust seasonings to taste.

    3. Serve the peach salsa with shrimp.

For the most part, you are done with creating this tasty recipe! Store in an airtight container until ready to serve and witness the flavors develop until you are ready to eat. This salsa can be served as is with salted tortilla chips. To enumerate, this salsa can also be served as a dinner option with your favorite protein. Simply cooked your desired protein until cooked through and top with the tasty peach salsa with shrimp and enjoy!

TIPS AND TRICKS FOR BEST RESULTS

    1. It's important to realize, this salsa is best served immediately or at least within a two hour window.
    2. Peaches release a lot of moisture once cut and mixed with the listed ingredients, the salsa will become soggy after some time. While the flavor will still be enjoyable, for this reason, it's best to serve the salsa in real time!
    3. This recipe does not require you to peel the peach, keep those extra nutrients in!
    4. Omit the shrimp if you like, this salsa is enjoyable either way.
    5. If you find this recipe and peaches aren't in season, use canned peaches (be sure to drain excess liquid)!
    6. If using fresh peaches, be sure to use local produce and search for peaches vibrant in color that are medium to touch. Not too soft and not too firm!
