How to Make Spicy Cajun Seafood Ramen
We will start by preparing the broth and boiling the eggs. The cajun butter sauce is added towards the end. And finally, we assemble our bowls!
Prepare Broth & Boil Eggs
Begin by preparing broth in a large sauce pot. Bring to a low simmer. In another small sauce spot, bring water to a boil to prepare the boiled eggs. Place corn into boiling broth for 5-7 minutes until corn is soft and tender. Remove from broth and set aside until later use.
The water should be boiling now for the eggs. Place in boiling water, turn heat off, cover and let sit for 5-7 minutes. In the same broth, place shrimp into the boiling water and boil until shrimp is pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from broth, drain and set aside until later use.
In the pot used to prepare the corn and shrimp lastly place the ramen noodles and boil for three minutes. Drain and set aside.
The eggs should be complete, peel and slice in half.
Make Cajun Butter Sauce
In a small saucepan, melt butter until bubbly. Add minced onion and garlic, stir until soft and translucent.

Then pour in seasoning mix and stir. Allow to boil for 30 seconds. Add lemon juice and stir. Pour in remaining savory chicken broth and give a final stir. Add fresh parsley, stir and set aside.
Assemble Seafood Ramen
Place half of the ramen into the bottom of a small bowl and add extra broth used to cook ramen if desired. Then layer the cooked shrimp, corn, crab meat and sliced boiled egg. Pour or drizzle cajun butter sauce over the noodle bowl based on the desired amount and garnish with parsley.
Variations
- More Seafood: With shrimp as the base, you can add other crustaceans like lobster, scallops, or crawfish.
- Add Sausage: Lean into the Louisiana flavor and add sliced andouille sausage for a heartier spicy cajun seafood ramen.
- Fresh Veggies: For more nutrients, include thinly sliced napa cabbage, broccoli, or kale.

Tips and Tricks
- Don't overcook the noodles. Watch them closely because they cook in just three minutes.
- Leave the tail on the shrimp because it adds more flavor and protects the shrimp from overcooking. But if you do remove the shells before cooking, save them for seafood stock.
- Add the boiled eggs directly to the broth and cajun butter sauce so it can soak up that spicy, buttery, lemony flavor.
How to Store Leftovers
Store leftover seafood ramen broth (separate from the noodles) in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Just make sure the broth has settled to room temperature before you refrigerate it.
If you want to freeze the broth, store it separately from the add-ons and toppings. Then place the broth in a sealed container in the fridge for up to one month.
When you want to reheat, warm up the broth on the stove over medium-low heat and serve it with fresh ramen noodles.

Can I make Seafood Ramen in advance?
Because this recipe includes seafood, I recommend making spicy cajun seafood ramen on the day you plan to serve it. However, you can boil your eggs ahead of time. Any seafood added (other than shrimp) can be prepared before starting the recipe too.
