Roughly chop strawberries. (Blueberries can remain whole)
In a small sauce pot, add fruit to pot and ¼ cup of water. Add more water as needed if water evaporates quickly.
As fruit warms up, juices will release and fruit will begin to break down. When this happens, begin mashing fruit with a fork or masher.
Once mixture begins to boil, add 1 tablespoon of honey and up to 2 tablespoon of lemon juice to each pot of fruit. Adjust fruit flavor to your liking, I prefer a lot of tart.
Allow fruit mixtures to completely cool. I place mine in the fridge to speed the process up.
While fruit compote cools, prepare yogurt mixture by adding yogurt and milk and whisking until mixture becomes runny and smooth.
If you are using plain greek yogurt, add about 1tbsp of honey and ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract.
